Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 June 2026

Wobblet & Lexagon (the “Games”) are two free word games hosted at wobblet.app. The short version: we don’t have accounts, we don’t track you across the web, and everything you do stays in your own browser.

We don’t collect personal data

What is stored — and where

Your game progress and preferences are saved only in your own browser, using a feature called localStorage. It stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. It includes:

You can erase all of this any time with “Clear my data” in either game’s Settings, or by clearing your browser’s site data for wobblet.app. Once cleared, it’s gone — we keep no copy.

Anonymous, cookieless analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people visit. It is privacy-first and cookieless: it sets no cookies, uses no localStorage, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. It collects only aggregate, anonymous metrics such as page views and referrers.

Third-party services that may see your IP address

As with any website, when your browser requests our pages it reveals your IP address to the services that deliver content:

Cloudflare receives only the standard technical information any web server gets (IP address, browser type) to deliver the page. Our fonts are self-hosted on this domain — we don’t use Google Fonts or any third-party font CDN, so no font provider sees your IP. We don’t combine the technical data with anything else, because we hold nothing else about you.

Optional global leaderboard

The Games include an optional global leaderboard. It is entirely opt-in: nothing is sent anywhere unless you type a name and tap “Post” on the end screen.

If you never post, no data ever leaves your device.

Children

The Games are suitable for all ages and collect no personal data from anyone, including children. The optional leaderboard stores only a freely-chosen nickname — please don’t enter real names.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf — your data lives on your device and you control it directly via “Clear my data” or your browser settings. Under the GDPR you retain your rights regarding any processing carried out by the third parties named above; please refer to Cloudflare’s and Google’s policies for requests directed at them.

Changes

If we ever add a feature that handles personal data (for example, a global leaderboard that stores a display name you choose), we will update this policy before that feature goes live and describe exactly what changes.
